Actually, Richard (Avedon? Is that you talking down from heaven?), I do most shots myself with a tripod and a remote-control release. I often work from home, that’s why. But I will experiment with a hip-level height for the tripod. Thanks for the advice! I’ve been pretty much improvising with the photography so far – maybe it’s time to take it more seriously.

Thanks, C, it does help. I promise not to tilt the camera anymore – it’s tempting when you’re six foot tall.

today it is really bad. my headache. i get it every time i look at these pix.

distorted.
converging lines.

when i was young and alive we used rolleis and hassies. we shot from the hip.
no camera tilt. no distorted bodies – unless we wanted it.

i’m sure there is a remedy for this in photoshop.

Heute gefällst du mir sehr gut, wie ein braves Schulmädchen. Für weitere Accessoires stelle ich gerne meine Schublade zur Verfügung, die du in München plündern kannst.
